Presented over three courses — starters, mains, and dessert — Chef Malcolm Lee aims to give diners the experience of going to Grandma’s house and being served a thoughtful sequence of lovingly cooked food. It’s an interesting concept we thought, and one that says a lot about Peranakan culture.

Pearl Restaurant at Linaw Beach Resort: Where to Have Dinner on the Beach in Panglao, Bohol, the Philippines

Saving the best for last. This was to be our last meal in Bohol so I made the reservation several days in advance to make sure we got a table. They gave us the best one, right on the beach with an unobstructed view of the sunset.

We ate many delicious things in Turkey, but if I had to eat just one dish for the entire two weeks, then I would happily choose dürüm. And not just any dürüm, but the dürüm from Dürümzade, hailed by Anthony Bourdain as some of the best wraps in Istanbul.

Turkish Night is an evening of dinner, drink, and dance. Accompanied by live music, guests will be treated to traditional folk dances from different parts of Turkey. There’s a belly dancer, a wedding ceremony, and a whirling dervish interpretation among others.
